12 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike on Gaza school, says Al Jazeera

Israeli forces have struck a school in the Sheikh Radwan refugee neighborhood of Gaza City. According to Al Jazeera, displaced Palestinians had taken shelter at the school after fleeing other areas of the territory due to ongoing military operations.

The network reports that at least 12 people were killed in the strike, with the exact death toll still being confirmed. Earlier in the morning, artillery shelling in Gaza had already claimed 25 local lives, 23 of them in Gaza City.

According to the latest data from Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the total number of Palestinians killed in the fighting has now exceeded 62,000, with more than 157,000 injured. An additional 270 people, including 112 children, have died from starvation.
