A sapper got injured during mine action in Kirants. The Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed the information in a conversation with ABC Media.
“A serviceman was injured in a mine explosion. According to early reports, his life is not at stake,” Spokesman for the Armenian Ministry of Defense Aram Torosyan said.
Residents of Kirants also reported the explosion. According to them, the sapper was injured in the leg.
Kamo Shahinyan, the head of Kirants village, told ABC media that they had seen an ambulance leaving the demining area.
