Armenian Defense Ministry: A serviceman has been found dead

Around 2:00 p.m. on May 7, contract serviceman Artak Avalyan (born in 1985) was found dead with a gunshot wound in the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, the Defense Ministry said in a press release.

“An investigation into the incident is under way.

The Ministry of Defense expresses its condolences to the serviceman’s family members, relatives and fellow soldiers,” reads the press release.
