5th anniversary of Second Karabakh War

Today, Sept. 27, marks the fifth anniversary of the Second Karabakh War.

The 44 days of fierce fighting claimed countless lives and changed the fate of thousands of families.

As a result of the war, the Armenian side suffered 3,830 losses, including 3,752 servicemen and 78 civilians. The whereabouts of 195 people remain unknown — 175 servicemen and 20 civilians among them.

Seven districts of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as Shushi and Hadrut, came under Azerbaijani control.
