Red Cross visits former Artsakh officials in custody in Baku

In November, ICRC delegates again visited former officials
of Artsakh kept in Baku. Head of the Public Relations Department of the ICRC
Office in Azerbaijan Ilaha Huseynova said this.

As noted, private meetings were held with the officials, and
they were given the opportunity to contact their families.

“Under its mandate, the ICRC assesses the treatment that the
detainees get and the conditions of their detention. The ICRC also promotes
maintenance of contact with their families. Under ICRC procedures, meetings are
held only with the detained persons,” reads the statement.
