Red Cross visits Armenians staying in Artsakh and helps them contact families in Armenia
The Delegation of the International Committee of the Red
Cross in Azerbaijan has published a video on its X account about one of our
compatriots who has decided to stay in Artsakh.
The ICRC delegates visited him and helped him contact his
family members that had moved to Armenia.
“I want to stay here. This is my house. How can I leave? You
came and made me feel better. I could talk to my mother, her sister and my
sister, and to my brother’s wife,” he said.
The ICRC has received more than 2,500 visits and phone calls
from displaced persons from Artsakh who are looking for their relatives and
want to get news from them.
To this end, the ICRC has expanded its staff there to assist
families in coming into contact with each other.
