Samvel Shahramanyan’s lawyer Roman Yeritsyan said that the said drugs have nothing to do with the Artsakh president, referring to the statement issued by the Investigative Committee that the president’s car was confiscated in the case of drug trafficking.
“The car was confiscated and searched once in connection with the drug case. Nothing was found, and the car was returned. The confiscation this time has nothing to do with drugs at all,” the lawyer told us.
According to Yeritsyan, the confiscation decision states that the car was seized in a drug-related case, but for what purpose is unclear to them.
“The first time they did not find anything related to the investigation, now they have made an absurd decision: they have seized it in connection with the drug case to conduct an investigation into the case. A question arises: If a month ago you did not find anything interesting while doing the same actions and after all returned the car, then what interesting for the examination can there be now that you did not find a month ago?” Yeritsyan said.
The lawyer of the president of Artsakh considers these actions to be a formality within the framework of pressures on the people of Artsakh.
