U.S. President Joe Biden visited Florida, areas affected by Hurricane Milton, announcing more than $600 million in a new aid package. The money will be directed toward the reassessment of the energy system.
“As a result of this funding, not only will power supply be restored, but the region’s power system will become stronger, reducing the frequency and duration of power outages during bad weather conditions,” Biden said.
To remind, over a span of a few days, hurricanes Helene and Milton caused great damage to the local population in several U.S. states.
