Ship traffic through the Bosphorus suspended

Turkey’s Ministry of Transport has announced the suspension of the transit of ships through the Bosporus due to fog, the ministry said in an X post.

“Due to limited visibility, the transportation of ships through the Bosphorus Strait has been suspended in both directions,” the ministry said.

There are about 100 ships in the queue. The fog also led to the temporary suspension of ferry services on some routes in Istanbul.
