Everyone was facing uncertainty in Artsakh throughout the
blockade, during the war and after the explosion. What was coming next, what
was to be done, and how? In those days, people knew their job perfectly well:
soldiers along the border and doctors in hospitals. In poor conditions, without
sufficient supplies of fuel and medicines, when communication with Armenia was
broken down, doctors in Artsakh did their best to save as many lives as
possible. “Their wish was to live, ours was to save lives,” Marat Harutyunyan,
a doctor from Artsakh says.
