Criminal prosecution has been brought against Expert on
Azerbaijani Studies Armine Adibekyan for incitement to violence. The case is
already in court proceedings, and the date for the court hearing will be
announced soon. Advocate Ruben Melikyan said this.
“The reason for Adibekyan’s accusation is the following
Facebook post made in September, 2022, ‘If Pashinyan does not do what Hitler
did at the end, then Goebbels’s fate will lie in store for him.’
I should also mention that criminal proceedings in
connection with Adibekyan’s two Facebook posts were instituted in 2022. Within
a year, an extensive and thorough investigation was carried out. As a result, a
decision was reached not to initiate a prosecution with regard to one of the
posts and to bring a prosecution against her in connection with the other one.
Bail was set as a preventive measure,” Melikyan said.
