10 border guards killed in Iran

Ten border guards were killed in a shootout with terrorists in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province, the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. Earlier, the press service of the country’s police reported that in the south-east of Iran, in Taftan County of Sistan and Baluchestan province, a police patrol got into a shootout with a group of armed people.

“After the death of 10 border guards on the highway in Taftan County, the interior minister ordered a group of police commanders and officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to urgently investigate the circumstances of the incident,” the ministry said in a statement.
