46,000 families affected by floods in Colombia

President of Colombia Gustavo Petro has declared a state of emergency in the country due to floods, Petro’s administration said in an X post.

The cause of the natural disaster was the seasonal heavy rains, which are likely to continue until the end of December. The country’s capital is faced with the most difficult situation.

More than 46,000 families have already been affected by the raging disaster.
