Trump puts up candidate for US ambassador to UN
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump officially nominated Elise Marie Stefanik, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, for the post of U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.
The congresswoman from New York, the fourth-ranking House Republican, is a staunch ally of Donald Trump. Stefanik, 40, supported Trump during a difficult period for him, when a number of criminal cases were brought against him.
