Attempt to seize Abkhaz State Television and Radio Company building

In Sukhumi, a group of unknown persons attempted to break into Abkhazia’s State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, according to the information center of the republic’s president.

It is reported that the incident occurred around midnight when armed individuals approached the area in 15 vehicles and began firing into the air near the building. In response, the company’s security personnel opened fire.
