Georgian Interior Ministry deploys special equipment outside Parliament building
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has heightened security around the Parliament building in Tbilisi, where an opposition rally is taking place. Additional forces and special equipment have been dispatched to the scene, TASS reports.
Water cannons, buses, and tow trucks have been set up in the square. Since the evening of Nov. 24, people protesting on Rustaveli Avenue have decided to remain on the street and sleep in tents set up right on the road. They are dissatisfied with the results of the recent parliamentary elections and are demanding that they not be recognized.
