Protest note given to British ambassador to Russia
British Ambassador to Russia Nigel Casey has received a note of protest for submitting false information by a staff member of the British Embassy, TASS reports.
According to the news agency, requirements for filling out questionnaires by embassy staff in Russia will be tightened from now on.
“Russia strongly advises British citizens to provide only accurate information about their backgrounds when applying for visas. Activities of unaccredited British intelligence officers in Russia will not be tolerated.
Russia will respond immediately if London escalates the situation following the deportation of a British diplomat from Moscow,” reads the publication.
