Borrell ending tenure as head of EU diplomacy
High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has announced that he will leave the post of the head of EU diplomacy on Nov. 29. Former Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas will take up the post.
“I would not want to end my work in Brussels without holding this meeting. This will practically be my last event in Brussels, as I am ending my mission tomorrow,” Borrell stated.
On Nov. 27, the European Parliament approved the new staff of the European Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen.
