The responsibility for determining Syria’s fate and future rests solely with the Syrian people, without external interference or imposition, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“It is necessary to establish a national dialogue involving all segments of Syrian society to form an inclusive government.

Iran hopes that the relations between the peoples of Iran and Syria will continue to develop based on common interests and the fulfillment of international legal obligations,” the ministry stated.
