MP: This “peace treaty” is not going to bring about peace
I have not personally seen that document, but considering
the statements of the RA authorities and those of Azerbaijan, I think it is
clear what is written there, or whether such a document exists or not. MP Artur
Khachatryan said this at a press briefing.
Khachatryan says we should pay attention to the statements
made by the enemy state’s leader. For example, Aliyev recently announced that
the issue of Artsakh should be forgotten.
“The Armenian authorities are afraid to utter the words “the
Republic of Artsakh” in general. They are afraid of the activities of Artsakh
officials,” Khachatryan said.
The MP is not surprised that these authorities consider the
activities of Artsakh state agencies meaningless.
“They have yielded to the demands of Azerbaijan. It was
Nikol Pashinyan, who said that the issue of return does not exist. What is
more, you will probably remember that when the Armenian foreign minister was
talking about the displacement issue at the U.N. Security Council meeting,
Bayramov countered him by quoting Nikol Pashinyan as saying that nothing
threatened the people of Artsakh. Do you think this was said accidentally?” he
noted.
Khachatryan is sure this “peace treaty” is not going to
bring about peace.
“I am convinced the wording of the document that Azerbaijan
imposes on Armenia is going to be vague, giving Azerbaijan another casus
belli,” he concluded.
