Turkey’s National Security Council approves updated Red Book
Turkey’s National Security Council has approved an updated document concerning the country’s national security, RIA Novosti reports.
The document, known as the National Security Policy Document (MGSB)—which is updated every five years and, when necessary, urgently—has been revised based on assessments of developments in Turkey, the region, and globally. This update has been confirmed by the country’s National Security Council.
Previously, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had instructed security agencies to revise the National Security Policy Document, commonly referred to as The Red Book.
