Medical aircraft crashes in US

A medical plane carrying six people, including four crew members, a child patient, and her mother, crashed near a shopping center in Philadelphia, U.S. The crash caused damage to nearby homes and vehicles.

“As of now, we cannot confirm any survivors,” a spokesperson from Jet Rescue Air Ambulance writes. “The Learjet 55 crashed at about 6:30 p.m. local time on Friday, Jan. 31, shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport.”

The plane was en-route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.

The plane was carrying a young Mexican girl who was receiving treatment for a serious illness. As of now, the cause of the crash remains unknown.
