Russia to expel illegal migrants starting Feb. 5

Vyacheslav Volodin, Russia’s State Duma Chairman, has announced two changes to migration policy that will take effect on Feb. 5. Volodin shared this information on Telegram.

The first law introduces a regime for the expulsion of illegal migrants. The second law establishes administrative penalties for violating the rules of entry and exit from the country, as well as for providing prohibited services to migrants listed in the controlled persons’ registry.
