USAID for Armenia? What has the organization done?

The era of USAID is coming to a close. After more than 63 years of operation in 113 countries, the U.S. Agency for International Development has put its director of security, his deputy, and 60 other senior officials on administrative leave. Over a thousand employees and contractors have been laid off.

Following the agency’s closure, authorities in numerous countries will have to seek independent funding to continue various projects. USAID has been operating in Armenia since 1992, with a total project volume of $1.3 billion over 32 years.
