Russian and Turkish foreign ministers hold phone conversation

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have held a telephone conversation.

The importance of closely coordinating actions was confirmed, including through interagency formats, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The situation in Syria was discussed. An agreement was reached to maintain close communication on outstanding bilateral, regional, and international issues, including the Middle East and Ukraine.
