NATO secretary general has a “great conversation” with Trump
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte made a phone call to U.S. President Donald Trump amid his recent tough statements regarding the alliance. Rutte also promised to allocate new resources for Ukraine, as he said in an X post.
“I had a great conversation with Trump. Allies are preparing to provide billions of dollars more in aid for Ukraine,” NATO’s secretary general stated.
According to Rutte, NATO countries will contribute to ensuring security guarantees for the post-Soviet republic, but he did not specify which countries within the alliance he was referring to.
