New subvariant of Omicron reported in Armenia
A few days ago, cases of the new subvariant of Omicron,
called Acrux (XBB.2.3), were reported in Armenia. According to the Sept. 12
figures, in the past seven days, 71 cases of COVID-19 were reported in the
country. In fact, the number has increased by 29 (42 cases) compared with the
figures of the previous week. The RA Ministry of Health reported this.
The WHO encourages all countries to tighten controls and the
COVID-19 testing measures.
To prevent SARS and COVID-19 outbreaks in Armenia, the
Ministry of Health urges everyone to get vaccinated against seasonal influenza
and coronaviruses.
