
Kavelashvili and Gafarova discuss developments in South Caucasus
Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Speaker of Azerbaijan’s National Assembly Sahiba Gafarova exchanged views on the developments taking place in the South Caucasus.
The Azerbaijani state news agency AzerTac reports that Kavelashvili reaffirmed Georgia’s support for peace and stability in the region.
The meeting also addressed the trilateral cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
Georgia has repeatedly stated its desire to see the region in peace. The Georgian foreign minister even mentioned in Yerevan that they are ready to do their best to achieve that goal, including acting as a facilitator to strengthen peace and stability in the region.
