
Saudi crown prince and Ukrainian president discuss peace efforts, and oil and gas cooperation
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed efforts made to achieve peace in Ukraine, Al Arabiya writes.
As noted, the Kingdom hopes the Ukrainian crisis will end in line with international law and the United Nations Charter, including respecting the principles of sovereignty and the internationally recognized borders.
“The two sides reviewed the efforts exerted in order to achieve a lasting, just and comprehensive peace in Ukraine,” the news agency reports.
The sides also touched on means of economic cooperation and underscored the need to develop the volume of trade as well as to address challenges facing the development of business relations.
The Saudi and Ukrainian sides affirmed their determination to enhance investment relations by establishing promising investment and economic partnerships in sectors that are a priority for both countries, including energy, food industries and infrastructure.
The two sides added that they are looking forward to exploring joint cooperation opportunities in the areas of oil, gas and their derivatives, and petrochemicals.
