Airstrikes on Yemeni Houthis ordered by Trump
Trump personally monitored U.S. airstrikes on the Yemeni Houthis and issued additional orders.
Below we present an excerpt from Trump’s first speech after being elected as President of the United States.
“I am not going to start wars; I am going to stop wars. During our four years in power, there were no wars, except that we defeated the Islamic State,” U.S. President Donald Trump said.
Trump has been in office for several months, and it is already clear that he has not been able to fulfill his campaign promise to stop all wars within 24 hours. Neither has the Russian-Ukrainian war ended, nor have other global conflicts been resolved.
Donald Trump ordered “decisive and powerful” airstrikes against the Houthi rebels, noting that the Houthis are conducting aggressive attacks in one of the world’s most critical routes for oil and fuel transportation in the Red Sea.
In response, the Houthis issued a statement accusing the U.S. and the U.K. of “vicious” aggression against the people of Sana’a, although it is known that London has no connection to the strikes carried out on Yemen on Saturday. This is also evidenced by Trump’s statements, where he claims that the U.S. itself is the initiator and author of the strikes.
