Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov stated that Russia
is negotiating with Tehran and Baku on energy exportation to Armenia, and from
there to Iran via Baku.
In his interview with RIA Novosti, the minister noted that
the existing infrastructure will be used within the project.
According to him, this is about 300 megawatts of
electricity.
“At the initial stage, we are discussing with Tehran and
Baku the possibility of using the existing infrastructure without building new
ones,” Shulginov said, adding that all parties are interested in the project.
