
UK freezes £25B in Russian assets
The United Kingdom has frozen £25 billion worth of Russian assets, U.K. Economic Secretary to the Treasury Emma Reynolds said.
“The U.K. has frozen £25 billion in Russian assets,” the British Treasury quoted Reynolds as saying.
According to the agency, anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the U.K. since 2022 have deprived Russia of $400 billion.
Reynolds added that Britain will continue its sanction policy against Russia to support Ukraine.
