Suren Papikyan’s visit to Cyprus canceled on account of border tensions
The defense minister of the Republic of Cyprus reports that
Suren Papikyan’s visit to Cyprus will be postponed on account of the border
tensions in Armenia.
“I had today a telephone conversation with my Armenian
counterpart following the cancellation of his planned visit to Cyprus.
We confirmed the excellent relations between our two
countries as well as our excellent cooperation in the Tripartite scheme with
Greece in the fields of defence and security. I expressed my undivided support
to the people of Armenia,” the defense minister of the Republic of Cyprus wrote
on his X page.
He expressed hope that the meeting will take place in the
near future.
