
Turkey’s main opposition leader reelected
Özgür Özel has been reelected as the leader of Turkey’s main opposition party, the Republican People’s Party (CHP).
The party held a meeting today in Ankara, where Özel stated that all polls conducted in the republic show that they are “the leading party” in Turkey.
As reported earlier, during the meeting, Özel announced the launch of a petition to express no confidence in President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and to call for snap presidential elections.
