Arman Tatoyan: We have shown with facts that not only the “Syunik” airport, but also other objects of strategic significance are under the Azerbaijani military direct target; and denials continue the same way
Since the end of the war, we have constantly shown with
facts the unlawful presence of Azerbaijani armed servicemen in the immediate
vicinity of the Syunik airport and its runways. We showed their unlawful
reinforcements and what dangers it would bring. Former Human Rights Defender
(Ombudsman) of Armenia Arman Tatoyan made a Facebook post on this.
“At that time, everything was completely ignored, ignoring
protection on the basis of human rights and security. Everything was denied.
Recently, there have been shootings of Azerbaijani armed
servicemen in the direction of both Kapan “Syunik” airport and the
civilian aircraft carrying out the flight.
The damage caused to the airport (arrival hall, controller’s
room, etc.) and the aircraft by shots prove that they were targeted. Moreover,
the shots were fired from unlawful armed positions of Azerbaijan in the
immediate vicinity of the airport runways.
Among those places, the M2 interstate highway, the section
leading from the airport to Kapan (299-301-rd km, Gortsaranain Street), as well
as some part of the Kapan community, are under the target of the Azerbaijani
armed servicemen.
We have shown with facts that not only the
“Syunik” airport, but also the Hydropower Plant (HPP) in Jermuk, the
“Tatev” HPP, the Geghanush tailings dump in Kapan, and other objects
of strategic significance are under the Azerbaijani military direct target. All
this in the context of the Azerbaijani ongoing crimes and Armenophobic
policies, state-sponsored impunity further justifies the removal of the
Azerbaijani armed services.
Therefore, the removal of the Azerbaijani armed servicemen,
including through the creation of a security zone, remains a priority.
Whose responsibility is all this now?
Due to the nightmarish fears for power and position, the
lives and health of our citizens became more endangered. And denials continue
the same way in such a dire situation.
