ARF Bureau members raise issue of return of Artsakh Armenians in meeting with US ambassador

On April 14, ARF Bureau representative Armen Rustamyan, along with Bureau members Lilit Galstyan and Arsen Hambartsumyan, visited the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, according to a statement from the ARF Bureau’s press service.

“Armen Rustamyan presented the political direction adopted by the 35th General Assembly of the ARF and the priorities of the pan-Armenian structure to U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Quinn in general terms.

The ARF Bureau members voiced their approaches and concerns regarding the security issues faced by the Republic of Armenia, emphasizing the need for guaranteed and safe implementation of the return of the Artsakh Armenians, as well as the release of prisoners of war held in Baku and the political leadership of Artsakh. They highlighted the importance of international actors, including the U.S., in achieving stable and just peace in the region.

The parties assessed the significance of such meetings and expressed their readiness to continue exchanging views on various political agendas,” reads the statement.
