Russia and Turkey hold Middle East talks

Turkish and Russian delegations on Middle East affairs have concluded talks held in Istanbul on April 25, Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says in a statement.

The sides discussed developments in Syria and the Gaza Strip, the ministry states.

Ankara noted that establishing stability and peace in the Middle East requires the development and coordination of actions among all parties interested in the resolution process.

“The importance of political dialogue and international cooperation on key issues on the agenda—including humanitarian assistance and Syria’s reconstruction—was reaffirmed,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
