Iran seeking to prevent Baku’s escalation in Syunik

Azerbaijan is seeking a corridor through Syunik, Armenia proposes a different route, while neighboring Iran offers an alternative.

Recently, Masoud Pezeshkian spoke about proposing an alternative route to Baku. Experts believe this move aims to definitively resolve the so-called “Zangazur corridor” issue. Pezeshkian considers that the Yerevan-Baku issue could be settled if the political and trade relations between the two countries are normalized, taking into account the rights of both sides.
