Who is Artsakh’s newly appointed state minister?
Samvel Shahramanyan, who has been appointed Artsakh state
minister by order of Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan, was the secretary of
the country’s Security Council.
Shahramanyan is not a newcomer to the state administration
system. In 1999-2008, he served in the NKR National Security Service,
affiliated with the Government. Later, he worked in the State Revenue Committee
of Artsakh. Shahramanyan was the chief compulsory enforcement officer, and
worked in the police forces.
In 2018-2020, he was the director of the NSS of Artsakh. On
May 29, 2020, Shahramanyan was appointed minister of Military Patriotism,
Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Artsakh. He holds the rank of
major general.
