France ready to deepen relations with Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received a delegation led by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.

Pashinyan expressed his appreciation for the visit of the French foreign minister to Armenia and noted that the relations between the two countries are at a high level. According to Pashinyan, it is even more important that bilateral cooperation in various sectors is deepening and strengthening.

Jean-Noël Barrot emphasized France’s unwavering support for Armenia’s development and capacity-building efforts. The French foreign minister stated that France is ready to further deepen and expand relations with Armenia, including in political and economic areas. Barrot also congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on the upcoming European Political Community summit to be held in Armenia next year.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to infrastructure development, attracting investments, and implementing joint new projects.

They exchanged views on regional processes, including the latest developments regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement. Pashinyan once again reaffirmed Armenian government’s commitment to the peace agenda.
