Zakharova: The current situation in the Lachin corridor has resulted from Armenia’s recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan

Laying the responsibility on the Russian peacekeepers is not
a proper thing to do. This resulted from Armenia’s recognition of
Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson
Maria Zakharova said this today at her briefing.

Referring to the abduction of the three young people from
Artsakh, Zakharova highlighted the need for dialogue between Baku and
Stepanakert.

“The peacekeepers’ task is to impose measures for the
protection of rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. Dialogue between
Baku and Stepanakert can be one of these measures,” Maria Zakharova said.
