Davit Ishkhanyan: We do not do anything “for the sake of nothing”

Extremely harsh are the words “for the sake of nothing”,
uttered — we all know by whom — once. Artsakh NA President Davit Ishkhanyan
said this with regard to the journalist’s question whether it could somehow
turn out that 120,000 people have endured all the hardships for the sake of nothing.

“I am sure that at least we do not do anything “for the sake
of nothing”,” Davit Ishkhanyan said. He added that what is going on in Artsakh
these days is the continuation of the war.

“Today, my views will sound difficult for people to
digest. However, let us remember how Artsakh was struggling for its right to
self-determination 100 years ago, but was forcibly annexed to Azerbaijan.
Thirty years ago, Artsakh again took up its struggle with the same vision in
mind. I have our right to self-determination in mind, I have the idea of
Artsakh joining Mother Armenia in mind. We are going through a phase of fierce
struggle for national liberation,” Ishkhanyan stated.
