UAE and Mongolia to sign EAEU cooperation agreements
Trade cooperation agreements between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Mongolia are scheduled to be signed on June 27 in Minsk, where the organization’s summit will take place, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Utyupin said.
“It is a great honor for Belarus that the signing of agreements with such significant trade partners as the UAE and Mongolia will take place in Minsk on June 27, 2025, after the conclusion of the Eurasian Economic Union Supreme Council meeting,” Utyupin said.
In 2024, negotiations were successfully completed for the economic partnership agreement with the UAE and a provisional trade agreement with Mongolia.
“After the entry into force of the economic partnership agreement, a full free trade zone for goods will begin to operate between the EAEU and the UAE. The provisional trade agreement with Mongolia is concluded for three years, with a three-year extension and a limited product coverage. After the first three-year period, the parties will begin negotiations to sign a free trade agreement, which will lead to the formation of a free trade zone,” the deputy minister explained.
