Davit Ishkhanyan: The Republic of Armenia ceased to be a security guarantor for Artsakh a long time ago

We have only one road: the Berdzor corridor. Movement
through this corridor, connecting us to Armenia, must be restored. Artsakh NA
President Davit Ishkhanyan said this at his press conference.

Ishkhanyan referred to the right of the people of Artsakh to
self-determination and the status of Artsakh. He noted that the Republic of
Armenia ceased to be a security guarantor for Artsakh a long time ago.

He said that Azerbaijan has had intentions regarding the
Akna road for a long time.

“We understand the motives behind Azerbaijan’s move
yesterday. However, it is unacceptable to us. We have only one road.
Azerbaijan’s motives are clear: They want to show the world that they are doing
their best to meet the needs of the people of Artsakh. They are trying to force
the Stepanakert office of the Red Cross out of Artsakh through their “Red
Crescent”,” Ishkhanyan noted.

According to the Artsakh NA president, Azerbaijan has had the
desire to force the Red Cross office out of Artsakh for a long time.

“Of course, they could send the so-called aid by the
Red Cross vehicles,” he said.
