Uranium enrichment ban is a ‘red line’ for us, says Araghchi

Iran insists on its right to enrich uranium within its territory, despite U.S. demands for it to abandon this practice, Mehr reports, referring to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

“The issue of uranium enrichment in our territory is a red line. It is a reality that I believe all countries have recognized. Enrichment has become a matter of national pride and dignity for Iranians,” Araghchi noted.

He added that Tehran does not intend to seek permission from anyone to continue the uranium enrichment process.
