Russia ready to begin prisoner exchange with Ukraine, says Medinsky
Russia is ready to start the prisoner exchange with Ukraine between June 7 and 9, Vladimir Medinsky, Aide to the Russian President, said.
“We expect that it will probably involve 1,200 people on each side, and it will be the largest prisoner exchange again. We are ready to start on June 7, 8, or 9. We are fully ready for this,” Medinsky said during a meeting with members of Putin’s administration.
He noted that the final criteria for reciprocity are being agreed upon, and the priority categories for the exchange will be “the wounded, seriously ill, and POWs under 25 years old.”
