Trump has phone call with Xi Jinping

Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which he shared on his Truth Social account.

“I just had a very good phone call with Chinese President Xi, during which we discussed some details of our recently signed trade agreement. The call lasted about an hour and a half and resulted in very positive outcomes for both countries. There should no longer be questions regarding rare metals,” Trump wrote.

He noted that during the discussion, they did not talk about the Russia-Ukraine conflict or negotiations with Iran over nuclear issues.

Trump also noted that Xi Jinping invited him to visit China, adding that a bilateral meeting between Chinese and U.S. delegations is planned to discuss trade relations.
