‘Unresolved issues’ exist regarding guarantees for Iran’s nuclear program, says IAEA chief
Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), announced that there are “unresolved issues” concerning guarantees for a possible agreement between the U.S. and Iran regarding Tehran’s nuclear program.
“Over the past few months, I have been working intensively with Iran and the U.S. to support their negotiations… The IAEA plays an irreplaceable role in verifying any new agreement. We continue to cooperate, but the issues regarding guarantees remain unresolved. Iran must immediately provide technically credible responses regarding undeclared nuclear materials and activities,” Grossi wrote on X.
