Arayik Harutyunyan gives details on Artsakh NA meeting
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan presented people,
gathered in Revival Square, with the outcome of the 6-hour meeting at the
National Assembly.
He noted that the meeting discussed three questions, namely
the fate of the three young people abducted from the checkpoint yesterday, food
shortage and the necessity of unblocking the road, and the possibility of his
resignation in the coming days.
“We are facing famine and shortages. Every second death
is caused by malnourishment. Pregnant women suffer miscarriages. You can insult
me, you can criticize me for acting late. But I want you to be forgiving. We
are now placed in this situation as we trusted everyone, the superpowers, the
U.N.,” Arayik Harutyunyan said. He also added that during the six-hour discussions,
they had not managed to arrive at a unanimous decision. However, as the
country’s president, he noted that the food shortage will be overcome within a
few days.
“We also discussed the issue of my resignation. In the
coming days, we will decide on it in a narrow circle,” Harutyunyan said.
