
Russia and Ukraine exchange 2nd group of POWs under 25, says Russia’s defense ministry
As part of the agreements reached in Istanbul, the second group of Russian servicemen has been returned from territory controlled by Kyiv, Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.
“According to the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached in Istanbul on June 2, today the second group of Russian servicemen has been returned from territory controlled by the Kyiv regime,” reads the statement.
As noted, in exchange, a group of POWs has been handed over to the Ukrainian armed forces.
“Currently, the Russian servicemen are in the Republic of Belarus, where they are receiving necessary psychological and medical assistance,” the ministry clarified.
